It is a reading challenge where participants fill out their passport (reading log) with books by Canadian authors. Participants get one prize ballot for every book they read, and a bonus ballot for filling out all five slots on their passport.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/divi:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- divi:paragraph -->The challenge ran from February 21 to April 30, 2026. Although many people entered, we only had one youth prize and one adult prize to give out. Our youth winner was Kit S. from Digby and our adult winner was Brenda F. from Weymouth! Our adult prize was the motivation Brenda needed to read more Canadian books. She claims, &#8220;Somehow Canadian books get overlooked&#8230; I read and listened to books by indigenous and Inuit authors. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience!&#8221; Kit was very excited to win our youth prize. When they came to pick it up, their mother told them, &#8220;See, reading pays off!&#8221;.
