This can be done at any branch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The library gets a lot of donations. Staff cannot tell people what happens to an item that is donated.&nbsp; Staff cannot give back a donated item. The library does not accept all donations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The library does accept these items:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Books that were published in the last 5 years<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Local history books<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>DVD in the original package<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Blu-Ray discs in the original package<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>New editions of classic books<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The library does not accept these items:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Reader\u2019s Digests<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Magazine<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Encyclopedias<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Textbooks<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Damaged items<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Old technology like VHS cassettes or audio cassettes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Donations of more than 25 items<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Decision About Donations<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The library decides what to do with donations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Trained library staff decide if an item can be put in the library. They follow the <a href=\"https:\/\/wcrl.a.rkft.dev\/fr\/policy-collections-2\/\">D\u00e9veloppement et entretien des collections<\/a> policy. This says what items can be added to the collection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The library sells items they do not add to the collection in book sales.
